Being part of Girls Night In is an amazing experience. Being part of Cancer Council, we get to hear about some incredibly generous and creative women who have been inspired the friendship that only girls can give to each other. For some of us friendship is found in the family - mother, sister, aunt, cousin or grandmother. Other women create their own 'family' by surrounding themselves with girlfriends who share the bonds of friendship that come from an instinctive connection or a long history.

Most women in the 21st century have very busy lives and catching up with cherished girlfriends is difficult. In the back of your mind you often think "I should make more of an effort to catch up" but the days and weeks go by so quickly and there's so much running around to do. And sleep is so precious!

For a lot of us, Girls Night In is a great excuse to just make the time. Over the coming weeks we're hoping that you'll let us know what you're planning and what has inspired you. Don't worry if you're doing nothing more than sharing tea around the kitchen table, or going to the movies. It all counts and we LOVE to hear about it.
