Our vision is to minimise the threat of cancer through successful prevention, best treatment, support and world-class cancer research. To realise our vision Cancer Council undertakes a broad range of activities:

Patient support - Cancer Councils around the country coordinate a network of cancer support groups, services and programs to help improve the quality of life of cancer patients, people living with cancer, their families and carers.
Doctors and other health professionals - to help improve prevention, detection and treatment of cancer.
Cancer patients and the general community - In 2015 around 58,000 people called Cancer Council 13 11 20, including people currently being treated for cancer, people living after cancer, their families, carers and friends, teachers, students and healthcare professionals.
