TV host Kylie Gillies is supporting Cancer Council’s Girls’ Night In for the very first time this year.
“Cancer Council’s Girls’ Night In is all about celebrating the power of female friendships. Cancer seems to affect all women in some way, and these events provide a chance for us to use our collective girl power to raise vital funds for women’s cancers.
“An important aspect of my Girls’ Night In event will also be the opportunity to open up a conversation with my friends about women’s cancers, prevention and early detection. I’ll be asking them all when they had their last pap test and if they participate in breast screening! I lost an Aunt to breast cancer and sadly I will always wonder if these kinds of conversations could have saved her life.
“My girlfriends mean the world to me – I simply couldn’t get through my life without them by my side. What better excuse to get them all together in one room for a great cause!”
