Lauren decided to host a Girls’ Night In as she thought it would be a great way to create a fundraising event that reflected her personality.
Twenty four year-old school teacher Lauren has embraced Girls’ Night In, and has held a dinner party five years in a row. Her guests simply donate the money they would have spent on a night out, but have just as much fun. Lauren and the girls have raised $1,600 to date.
“I choose to host a Girls’ Night In every year because I want to be able to support the fight against women’s cancers in my own way. It’s fun, easy and a great way to catch up with friends for a cause that really matters.”
LAUREN’S TOP TIP
One of the most fun parts of the night is when the girls write a letter to themselves, containing their hopes, dreams and what’s going on in their lives. These are sealed and kept safe until next year, before being ceremoniously opened and shared to see how far they’ve come.
